I'm working on shaping a solid 3'x3'x3' block of wood into a bowl shape and I'm looking for the best tools to speed up the rough material removal process. I've been using an electric chainsaw, but I'm curious if there are faster alternatives, possibly something that runs on battery or can be plugged in. I can take the wood back to my shop if there's a more effective tool out there. Any recommendations would be awesome! Also, I've heard about grinder wheels, but I'm hoping to find something that can remove material even quicker. I just found out about Arbortech's tools, so if there are more suggestions like that, please let me know!

You might want to check out the tools from Arbortech! Specifically, their ball gouge could be exactly what you need for that fast material removal. It’s designed for shaping wood quickly, and it’s great for larger cuts.

Wow, I had no idea these tools existed! Thanks for the heads up!
