Hey everyone! I'm just getting started with DIY solar power and have a question about inverters. I'm looking for a type of inverter that can handle both AC power from the wall and DC power from my solar setup (after the charge controller to maintain voltage). Ideally, this inverter would switch between solar and wall power based on availability: using solar power when it's active, and automatically switching back to wall AC when solar isn't generating. I believe this is different from a grid-tie inverter, which I'm trying to avoid due to my renting situation and the concerns associated with it. Any recommendations would be great!

Have you checked out solar generators like EcoFlow or Bluetti? They're really convenient for setups like yours and often combine these functions effectively.
