I just found a dead squirrel in my yard that drowned in some rainwater. I'm not sure how long it's been there or if it was sick, but I'm wondering if burying it in my garden would help the soil or if it poses a risk of disease. Since it's early March and I haven't planted anything yet, I want to avoid any issues before I start my gardening. What do you all think?

If there are larger animals around, they might dig it up anyway. I once buried a tiny lizard, and it wasn't long before something, like a raccoon, found it and made a mess. So, there's a good chance the same could happen with the squirrel.

Oh no! Rest in peace to your lizard! ? That’s a solid point. I've definitely seen foxes around, and I even found a hole in my yard today that might be from a larger animal.
