Has Anyone Else Fallen Out of Love with Their Houseplants?

I've been really into houseplants and currently have around 160 of them. But lately, I've hit a wall where I'm not finding joy in them anymore. I used to wake up excited to see their growth, but now I often forget to water them. I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this burnout with their plants and if you've managed to rekindle your passion for caring for them?

Feeling overwhelmed is definitely a sign to maybe declutter your collection. You could rehome some of your plants or even share them with friends! Hobbies can change, and it’s totally normal to go through phases. Giving yourself some space might help you appreciate your favorites more.

It sounds like you might have taken on more plants than you can handle! I keep my collection manageable by only getting plants that are low-maintenance and can handle a bit of neglect. With that many plants, it might start to feel like more of a chore than a hobby. Maybe consider downsizing a bit – it could help you enjoy the ones you keep even more!

Totally agree! If it's becoming overwhelming, maybe it's time to let a few go. I've got around 20 plants, and it's a perfect balance for me – just enough to enjoy without feeling stressed.

I totally get it. Sometimes it can be just too much. I used to care for a lot, but now I keep it simple. If you're feeling down, maybe it's worth it to let some go or join a local plant club to share knowledge and reignite that passion!

That sounds like a fun idea! Connecting with other plant lovers could definitely recharge your enthusiasm.
