Hey folks! My partner and I are diving into building our tiny home and we're on a budget, so we have to handle most of the electrical work ourselves. We're looking for resources or tips to help us get started, especially since we're out in the country with no code regulations—our main concern is safety. I have some deeper questions as we move along, so if anyone has experience and is willing to assist, that would be awesome. Thanks in advance!

Check out loads of YouTube videos about roughing in electrical work, installing outlets, and DIY electrical projects—spend about two hours learning for every hour you plan to work. Always turn off power before you start working with wires! Make sure your connections are tight to avoid overheating. If you’re planning to do any major installations, get familiar with the latest NEC code. Safety first, electricity is not to be messed with!
Before you start, it would help to know more about your setup. What’s your power source? What are you planning to wire up? Are you deep into the construction process yet? It’s really important to have a solid understanding of the basics—wiring a switch is quite different from hooking up a breaker. If you're unsure, it might be worth consulting a pro for at least some guidance, because mistakes in wiring can get expensive or even dangerous.
