What’s the Best Battery for My M18 Fuel Hackzall?

I've been using my M18 Fuel Hackzall to break down some motorcycle pallets, and while the included 5.0 amp hour battery works fine for 1 or 2 pallets, I start to notice a big drop in power when it gets down to 3 or 2 bars. Is this drop in performance due to the amp hour rating of the battery, or is it just the type of battery? Would switching to a Forge battery help maintain consistent power, or should I just have multiple 5.0 batteries on hand to swap before they get too low? Usually, I don't do more than 2 pallets at once, but I'm curious about what battery options would help improve efficiency for my tool in longer sessions.

If you're looking for a noticeable boost, definitely consider grabbing an 8.0 or even a 12.0 amp hour battery. It makes a huge difference in power and runtime compared to the 5.0. The more amp hours you have, the longer your tool can run without losing that power. Personally, I'd say a high output (HO) pack would help a lot, especially if you're working on tougher materials. Just remember, though, the bigger batteries can add some weight, so choose one that fits your comfort level!

Totally agree! Even the 6.0 HO batteries are a solid upgrade over the 5.0. They might not be the biggest out there, but they'll definitely help with performance!
