I'm currently working on a project where I need to glue around 50 boards a day for the next three months, and I've noticed that applying glue from a squeeze bottle is the slowest part of the process. I'm looking for more efficient methods that are used in commercial factories for handling large-scale edge glue ups. Ideally, I would love to find a way to apply glue quickly—maybe something like a roller inside a sealable container to keep the glue fresh, but I can't find anything like that. Does anyone have practical advice or examples of tools I could use?

Are you using a squeeze bottle to apply the glue, or are you just pouring it straight from the bottle? If you’re pouring, you might find that using a paint tray with a roller can really speed things up. But squeezing it directly does sound frustrating for sure! Just remember, if you use a tray, there might be some waste depending on your workspace setup.
We actually use a roller with a reservoir for our gluing work. It's super handy and makes the process a lot faster. There’s also options like a paint roller with a silicone surface designed just for glue application. We’ve even made do with a foam roller and a paint tray—it’s economical and it works! Just be cautious with the clean-up; it can be a bit of a pain.
Why complicate things with a sealable container? Just dump some glue into an open container and roll it on! I mean, you can get a lot done that way—just be mindful of the clean-up. If you're concerned about drying out, I get it, but for larger batches, an open setup can really save you time.
