I'm trying to get rid of an old wooden table, but cutting it up with a hand saw is super exhausting. Is there a way to weaken the wood or help me cut it easier? I'm curious if soaking it in a chemical solution would work, or if there are any other suggestions to make this process less of a chore.

Look, soaking it in chemicals sounds way riskier than just using a handsaw. Why not just grab a cheap power tool? A corded reciprocating saw is under $30 and it’ll save you a ton of effort!
If you're really struggling, you could also try jumping on it from a stair to break it. Or use a 10 lb hammer and pop the joints apart! Way easier than cutting through solid wood directly!
Jump off the roof and post the video!
Honestly, if you're wanting to get rid of it, just throw it on the curb with a "free" sign. Trust me, it’ll disappear in no time!
This... someone will take it definitely.
And if you put a price on it, someone will steal it even quicker than if you have a "free" sign!

Soaking a bath full of chemicals? Is that really necessary? Just think about the hassle and cost of doing that!
