Ideas for a Recessed Stainless Gas Connect for Outdoor Kitchen?

I'm setting up an outdoor kitchen and I need some creative ideas for a recessed stainless steel gas connection. My plan is to store the propane cylinder inside a cabinet under the counter. I'd love to have a sleek outlet on the work surface or front panel to plug in my pizza oven or grill with a quick connect. When I'm finished cooking, I want to be able to disconnect and hide everything nicely.

The issue is that here in Germany, I only find plastic RV-style gas outlets, which just don't fit the aesthetic for a permanent outdoor kitchen. I'm envisioning a flush, stainless steel recessed box with a flip-up lid and the quick connect inside. Has anyone come across a product like this, or attempted a DIY version? Any tips for adapting marine fittings or creating a stainless enclosure that could work for my setup would be really appreciated!

Have you tried checking out chandlers or boat supply stores? They might have what you're looking for. Alternatively, you could keep the plumbing inside the cabinet and just use a hole big enough for the hose to pass through. This way, you can connect the gas easily when you access the propane canister without too much hassle.

Make sure your cabinet is well-ventilated to keep everything safe! Plus, if you're planning to leave the propane connected, consider adding a separate valve so you can control it easily without having to disconnect every time.

Absolutely! Ventilation is key, especially with gas. Good idea on the separate valve too!
