I recently purchased the Parkside cordless plunge saw (PPTSA 20V-Li) and have been stuck using a weaker 4Ah battery because I can't find the 8Ah version anywhere in Ireland. It was supposedly in stock as of January 31, but after checking with Lidl customer service, I learned that no store in the country received any. Kompernass doesn't have them either, and while Grizzly Tools does, they can't ship outside mainland Europe. Does anyone have tips on where I can get one or know when Lidl might restock?

Honestly, I think the 8Ah batteries are a bit problematic. I bought two last year, and one doesn’t charge at all. Neither of them show any charge level, which is frustrating. Lots of people seem to echo this sentiment; they really do seem hard to come by, and for tools like the tracksaw, you definitely need something stronger than the 4Ah.
I heard there’s a new 8Ah smart battery that’s the same size as the 4Ah one, which sounds promising. I didn’t know they updated the design; hopefully, it’s more available than before. I've never seen any in Ireland, though!
In Slovenia, the 8Ah batteries are pretty common and usually sell for around 60 EUR. I’ve had mine for almost a year now and use it daily with no issues at all.
I’ve been searching for an 8Ah battery for ages too! So far, I’ve just picked up a couple of extra 4Ah batteries. But I’m still hoping to find the 8Ah version to really boost my tools.
