What Indoor Plant Should I Get as a Gift?

Hey everyone! I'm not exactly a plant expert, but I've got a real appreciation for them. I usually help take care of my roommate's plants when they need it, but I don't know much beyond that. I've started seeing someone with a degree in Horticulture who loves gardening, and for our next date, I'd like to surprise them with an indoor plant since they've just moved to a new place after a divorce and don't have much decor yet. I want to choose something easy to care for because they lead a busy life. We live in Utah, so I'm looking for suggestions for an indoor plant that would make a lovely gift. Any ideas? Thanks!

You can't go wrong with a Snake Plant! It’s nearly indestructible, helps purify the air, and you can even propagate it easily if they want more plants later.

How about an African Violet? They bloom several times and come in different colors. They do well in bright, indirect light and are pretty easy to manage.

Chinese Evergreens are awesome too! They're low maintenance and have attractive leaves, making them a great addition to any space.

Definitely consider getting a Peace Lily! They’re not only beautiful but also really easy to take care of. If their new place is bare, a pothos is another great beginner plant that's very forgiving and grows beautifully.
