I'm considering purchasing a new impact wrench and an inflator/compressor for my 2024 F-150 truck. My goal is to avoid constantly switching tools between trucks, as I currently use some budget-friendly Craftsman tools. The primary uses for these tools would be to handle lug nuts on my truck and trailers, and to inflate tires or use compressed air as needed. I mainly use M18 tools for electrical work, so I already have a couple of M18 5.0 batteries. However, I also have spare batteries for the M12 line due to my M12 fuel impact driver, drill, and vacuum, and I really appreciate the compact design of the M12 impact. For context, I store my tools under the rear seat of my truck, so size is definitely a consideration. Would love to hear your insights! Thanks!

If you're looking for something to handle lug nuts easily, I recommend the M18 high torque impact. It's not bulky, and it'll handle lug nuts without breaking a sweat. For inflating, the M18 inflator is seriously the best out there!
I've used both the M12 and M18 inflators. The M12 works fine for cars or lighter trucks, but it struggles a bit with heavier tasks—like filling up tires on larger trucks. The M18 is definitely the way to go if you're doing medium to heavy-duty work, and it's not that much bigger. If storage space is tight, just keep in mind the M18 is a bit bulkier, but it's worth it!

I think I'm leaning towards the M18 after hearing this. I need something reliable since I work with various machinery—it’s good to know the performance is solid!
