I'm struggling with getting rid of weeds in my lawn, which is roughly 75% covered in hairy bittercress, dandelions, and bull thistle. I've tried using Roundup, but it seems like it doesn't reach the roots effectively. What are my options for a powerful weed killer that I can buy without having to hire professionals? Should I mow the lawn first or apply a specific type of fertilizer? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If you're looking for something potent, glyphosate is your go-to. I've had great success with 2,4-D, which is more selective than glyphosate and can be a solid option. Just be cautious if you care about other plants in your yard. Also, call it 'death from above' because it really does the job!

Ha! Love that term! Just make sure your weeds are actually growing for it to work effectively.
