I recently moved into a new house, and I've noticed that bathroom noises can be heard throughout the entire place, from upstairs to downstairs. Even though I've added area rugs and stuffed as many towels and fabrics as I can into the rooms to absorb sound, I'm still struggling with the noise. I'm looking for some DIY soundproofing ideas since I'm really tired of overhearing my husband's bathroom habits. Sorry if this sounds a bit gross!

Have you thought about installing a vent fan? Maybe swap it out for a noisier one to help cover up some of the sounds. It could be a simple fix that might help!
You might want to consider sound mufflers for your vents. They can really cut down on noise transfer. Also, if possible, tell your husband to turn on the ceiling vent fan while he’s in there. It can help drown out some of the other sounds, plus you could even look into a Japanese bidet that plays music to mask bathroom sounds!

Sound mufflers for vents!! Worth a try.
