I've been thinking about the transition from being a true beginner to a novice in woodworking. Do you believe that one key to mastering good cuts in joinery is by limiting the number of degrees of freedom from six to just one by using jigs? What other essential insights have made your woodworking journey smoother that you wish you had known earlier?

Totally agree! Using jigs really boosts accuracy in your cuts. Another game-changer for me was discovering zero clearance inserts for my table saw and miter saw. They helped a ton in eliminating gaps and achieving cleaner cuts.

I'm new to this, why is zero clearance so important?
