Hey everyone, I need some urgent advice! I recently bought a lovely succulent hanging pot, and unfortunately, it's infested with mealybugs. I've only had it for two weeks, and right after I got it, I treated it with systemic insecticide and even quarantined it in a plastic bin. I coated everything in diatomaceous earth as well.
Despite all that effort, I just checked and found not only dead mealybugs but also live ones! They seem to be reproducing, which is super frustrating. Are the systemic treatments and diatomaceous earth not effective enough? What should I do next?

One method you could try is soaking the leaves in rubbing alcohol. It can help kill mealybugs quickly. Just be careful, as it might affect the farina on your plant. If the infestation is really bad, you might have to accept some damage to the leaves. Good luck!

Yeah, I'm also worried about the farina. I think I'll go for it anyway since these pests are out of control!
