My Parkside 20V Drill Just Stopped Working—Is This Common?

I have a Parkside PABS 20-Li I9 drill that suddenly stopped working while I was using it. I'm using a 20V 8Ah performance battery, and when I pull the trigger, the app shows 'discharging,' but the drill doesn't turn on at all. It wasn't overheated, and the battery is at 70%. Is this a common issue with these drills?

Yeah, power tools from discount brands often have reliability issues. While Parkside tools are cheaper, they can sometimes break down unexpectedly. I’ve had a couple of tools fail on me too, but I've also had some that perform really well for years. Maybe it depends on the specific model and how much you push them! How long have you had your drill?

It’s frustrating, isn’t it? I get that Parkside tools offer good value for DIY projects, but their power tools can be hit or miss. Sometimes, you just don’t know what to expect with them. If it's not turning on at all and the battery seems fine, it might be worth reaching out to customer support or checking if there's a warranty on your drill.

Interesting that there's a mobile app for it! Mostly, it seems to help with battery management and tracking, but not sure how much else it offers for the drill itself. I guess it's good to keep an eye on battery stats but I've never seen such apps being super helpful for troubleshooting, sadly.
