How can I fix my shower door slab that’s pulling away from the wall?

I just noticed that the slab which my glass shower door is attached to is starting to pull away from the wall. The slab is a long rectangular piece, probably quartz, that stretches from the shower entrance to the ceiling. The separation starts about a quarter of the way down from the top. I'm considering drilling a hole near the top of the slab to secure it into a stud since it's on a corner. Would that be a good approach?

It sounds like securing the slab to a stud could definitely help. Just make sure to use the right length screw so you don't damage the slab. I’d also recommend checking if any caulking needs to be redone around the edges; it could help with moisture prevention too! If you can, try to get a better view of the top edge—you might spot if there’s something else causing it to pull away.

Thanks for the advice! I’ll definitely check the caulking and see if it needs replacing. I want to make sure everything's sealed properly.

Good tip about the screws! Try to drill at a slight angle to get better grip on the stud.
