I'm removing an old dishwasher and noticed it's hardwired into the wall. Is it possible to convert this hardwired connection into a power outlet so I can plug in my new dishwasher? What steps should I take to do this safely?

For sure! I did the same when I replaced my dishwasher. Just turn that old hardwired power into a GFCI under the sink and plug in the new one. Easy peasy, but just confirm you have the correct voltage before getting started!

Yeah, checking the voltage is key. Better safe than sorry!

Absolutely! You’ll need to cut a hole for the box and add an outlet. Just remember to turn off the power before you start messing with the wires—safety first!

Yes, you can definitely convert it! Just make sure the outlet is installed in an accessible spot, ideally in an adjacent cabinet. Don’t forget to use a GFCI outlet for safety!

Definitely a good call on the GFCI. It's crucial for kitchens!
