Is a Used Laguna F3 Worth It?

I'm considering buying a used Laguna F3 for about $1000. It's a late 2020 model and looks immaculate in the pictures, plus the seller seems to have taken good care of it. However, I've heard a lot of negative stories about customer service and complaints regarding previous models. I currently have a job site saw and feel that upgrading to something like this would be a major improvement. Given these factors, should I go for it or save for a more reputable brand?

If the F3 is in good condition, I’d say buy it! I have an F2 that I bought for $1400 four years ago, and I really love it. The only issue I've noticed is with dust collection; it collects a bit inside the base, but I just vacuum it out occasionally and it’s not a big deal. My partner and I use it a lot for our woodworking business, and it’s held up great. Just keep an eye on its condition!

Be cautious; I’ve noticed a decline in Laguna's quality. I bought an F3 this year, but it arrived damaged with missing parts. I had to threaten them with legal action just to get a promised refund for a saw I sent back. I ended up getting a Powermatic 66 for the same price and couldn't be happier. I'd recommend looking for alternatives.

I've heard that most complaints are about the earlier F1 and F2 models, but the F3 actually gets some praise. At just a grand, I’d definitely go for it! Even if you end up needing to replace something in a year, you’d still be saving money compared to buying new.
