Hey everyone! I recently had a frustrating experience with a plumbing company called Aiello that I'd like to share and get your thoughts on. I called them in to fix a dripping shower head. The technician arrived on time and told me that it could cost as much as $750, but he wouldn't know the exact amount until he assessed the issue. The entire visit lasted just 24 minutes, according to my Ring camera, and aside from a few minutes spent finding the shut-off valve, the job was done quickly. The final bill came to $655! I did manage to get a $99 consultation fee refunded after pushing for it, but the overall charge still feels excessive for such a minor repair. Has anyone else faced something similar? Is this standard pricing these days, or did I get taken for a ride? Any advice for avoiding this in the future would be really helpful!

Honestly, it sounds like you might have agreed to an inflated quote when you accepted that "up to $750" estimate. If they did the job as promised, it can be hard to dispute the price, even if it seems high. For minor issues, a bit of research or a YouTube tutorial might save you big bucks in the future!
That’s quite a bill! For a dripping shower head, I would expect much less—maybe around $200 max if you hire someone. If it was a simple fix, I suggest looking into doing it yourself next time. It's usually a straightforward task!
Wow, $655 for that? Seems like you got seriously overcharged! Next time, it might be worth getting a few quotes before agreeing to any service. That way, you can compare prices and perhaps find a better deal.
Right? It's always a good idea to shop around, especially for something as simple as a shower head fix.

Totally agree! It’s all about being proactive with these kinds of home repairs.
