I'm trying to find good quality topsoil online, but I'm not having much luck with trustworthy suppliers. I came across Dandys, which charges £200 for 2 tonnes, but Mick George offers a certified grade at half that price. I want to create a beautiful lawn for my kids, but I'm also wondering if lawn topsoil is the right choice or if I should go for loam instead. I'd really appreciate any advice since I'm quite new to gardening!

Have you tried checking local waste management yards? If they take in green waste, they often sell topsoil too! I used a place called Scrivens, and they deliver nationally, so you might find something similar in your area.
You could look on Facebook Marketplace or eBay. Sometimes people sell quality topsoil at a good price, and you can find local deals pretty easily.
If it's just for a lawn, I'd recommend grabbing topsoil from Wickes when they have a sale. They do delivery, which is a plus if you're buying a lot!
