Help! How Do I Fix a Dull Spot in My Black Bathroom Paint?

Asked By CreativeNinja42 On

I've recently painted my bathroom black after switching from an off-white color. I filled a few holes in the wall, but I realized I should have primed them first, so I took care of that. Now, however, I'm left with a large dull spot that I'm unsure how to fix. The area wasn't spackled or treated; what can I do to make it look smooth and consistent?

It sounds like you might be experiencing paint flashing, which is when a section of paint doesn’t match the rest in sheen or texture. One way to tackle this is to give that area another good coat of paint. Just make sure the previous coat is completely dry first!

Would using a foam roller help get a better finish instead of the regular fuzzy ones?
