Hey everyone, I recently bought a house and while I was prepping to move in, I decided to paint the walls. To make things easier, I disconnected the thermostat wiring so I could keep the AC running while painting around it. I disconnected it a couple of times to ensure everything was painted properly. After I finished, I reconnected the wires exactly like they were before, but now the thermostat won't turn on at all. I've checked the breaker and none of them were tripped, plus I've reset them just in case. The thermostat model is a Honeywell TH6220WF2006 Pro series. Any thoughts on what might be wrong?

If the display isn't working, it's possible the thermostat has gone bad after being disconnected. Sometimes these devices just fail unexpectedly. If you have another thermostat, you might try swapping it just to see if that resolves the issue.
First things first, does the display on your thermostat light up at all? If it’s completely blank, it might mean that the thermostat itself is dead or possibly not receiving power. Double-check that all wires are securely connected, especially the power ones.
