How Can I Soundproof My Bedroom Door?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for the best ways to soundproof my bedroom door, which leads into a shared bathroom that I don't really use. It's got some gaps around the edges, so I was thinking about using a draft excluder, but I'm not quite sure how effective that would be. Any tips or suggestions would be awesome!

If the door is temporary and needs to go back to normal someday, consider using some sound dampening pads from Amazon. They're easy to install and can really make a difference. You could also go for floating drywall if you're up for a bigger project, but those pads might be your best bet!

Thanks for the tip! I’ll definitely check out the sound dampening pads.

Another cool option is to fill the gaps around the door frame with cut-up pool noodles or a backing rod. Then, if you can, position a bookshelf or wardrobe against the door and stick gym mats on the back of it for extra soundproofing. The door handle is also easy to remove, so you can put it back on when you leave!

For a quick fix, you could try putting a fitted mattress in the doorframe and adding a sheet of plywood in front of it. It’s not the prettiest solution, but it’ll definitely help with the noise.
