Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to all of this and I've just moved into a new place. I've noticed that our Fleck 5600 water softener seems to be regenerating repeatedly in quick succession. Like, right after it finishes a cycle, it starts again just a few minutes later. Everything seems to be in place—there's salt in the tank and nothing appears to be blocked. Is there a way to fix this?

I hear you! I had the same issue when I first got mine. The regeneration can be quite complex, but from what I know, if there are issues with your brine tank or if the resin beads are malfunctioning, it might cause those back-to-back regenerations. Make sure there's enough salt and that you're not having any leaks or blockages in the water line. Sometimes just a simple reset of the system can resolve these issues too!
It sounds like your unit might be stuck in a continuous regeneration loop. First, make sure you're not in a high water usage period, which can trigger multiple cycles. If you frequently use a lot of water, it may need to regenerate more often. Also, check the control settings—if they're set incorrectly, it might think it needs to regenerate continuously. If all else fails, it might be worth calling customer support or a tech to have a look at it—something could be off with the regeneration timing.

Good point! I had a similar issue, and adjusting the settings helped a ton. Also, make sure you’re using the right amount of salt for your water hardness.
