Can I Replace My Old Windows with Glass Blocks in My Sunroom?

I'm currently renovating my sunroom since my floor has to be redone after a bathroom leak. I've noticed that there are some really old exterior windows that look out of place. I'd like to remove these windows and replace them with glass blocks instead. How complicated is it to get those old windows out?

It's definitely doable! Just keep in mind that those old windows are probably set in a pretty solid frame. When switching to glass blocks, you'll need some proper support, so be prepared for some framing and wall patching afterward. It's not just a simple swap, but totally manageable!

Oh good point. Thanks!

The ease of removal can really be subjective. For someone experienced, it might seem simple, but you might need to adjust the opening based on the size of the glass blocks you decide on. I've seen some lovely installations with wooden moldings as well, so that's something to consider. Good luck with your project!
