I'm looking for recommendations on the easiest and fastest-growing flowers that can be grown indoors. It's important that these flowers are safe for pets, particularly for cats. As a practicing Buddhist, I have a daily ritual of offering flowers to the Buddha and other meditative deities. With the warm weather still here, I have plenty of morning glories to work with, but I'm thinking ahead to the fall and winter. I'd prefer real flowers over artificial ones for various reasons, so I'm eager to start an indoor garden that will sustain my practice. Thank you in advance for your suggestions!

You might want to check out ice plants! They're beautiful and totally safe for pets. Just keep in mind they need good light. I once saw a stunning variety, and it looks like they can thrive in indoor settings. If you have an Aerogarden, those should do really well!
Rieger begonias are fantastic for indoor blooms and they'll keep flowering for you without needing a lot of light. They're pretty low-maintenance too! Definitely worth considering for your indoor garden.
African violets are another option! They thrive in bright windows and are non-toxic to pets. Plus, their flowers are really beautiful, so they'd definitely serve your offering needs well!

Those ice plants are absolutely stunning! I did some quick research and found they are indeed cat-friendly. Plus, if you have an Aerogarden, you're all set as long as the lights are still operational!
