Hey everyone! I've got two Cordyline Red Stars and one green Cordyline. Last winter, my red stars didn't fare too well when I kept them in the garage—probably not enough water. This year, I'm planning to keep them closer to a window (in a car port with no direct sunlight) and I'll have a system for automatic watering, but only a little. My question is about lighting. Do you think I need to get additional lights for them? I'm looking at some plant-specific grow lights from AliExpress, while my local store has a sale on non-plant specific light panels (30w/3300 lumen/4000k). Also, I've got a flood light (12k lumen, 4000k temp, 70ra/100w). What do you think?

Cordylines tend to be pretty resilient in the UK, especially the green ones. In harsh winters, they might lose their top growth, but they usually bounce back from the base. They’re actually better suited for outdoor conditions, ideally facing Southeast to get that morning sun!

But what about temperatures dropping to -15? Isn’t that too much? If mine are around 1.5 meters tall, it could take ages for them to grow back from the base!
