I recently bought a balcony solar panel kit that includes two 400-watt panels and an inverter that meets the EN 50549 standard. Everything is installed except for the electrical connections, and I need a registered electrician to finalize those and complete the required ESB registration form NC6. Just a heads up—if you’re using the system at 240 volts, then 800 watts is indeed the max limit. Make sure you double-check your setup to stay within that threshold!
'Balcony Solar' setups typically mean it's a 'Plug & Play' system that connects to an existing outlet, maxing out at 800 watts. You might want to check if you can put down your own name as the 'consultant' for the registration.
