Is the Milwaukee M18 Fuel 16″ Chainsaw Good for Cutting Firewood?

I'm looking to buy a battery-operated chainsaw mainly for cutting firewood a few times each year. Since I already have a lot of Milwaukee tools, I'm considering the M18 Fuel 16-inch brushless chainsaw. Has anyone here used this saw? Is it suitable for firewood, and which battery would you recommend to pair with it?

I’ve found the 16-inch model to be pretty impressive as well. I use it with a 12.0AH forge battery, and it really powers through the cuts. It’s perfect for filling my half-ton with firewood without running out of juice!

I've used the M18 Fuel 16" chainsaw, and it’s fantastic! I typically run it with a 6.0AH battery, and it powers through firewood like a champ. Definitely a solid option if you need something that’s both powerful and portable.

I actually have the 20-inch dual battery version, and I love it! It handles everything I throw at it effortlessly, so if you're looking at the 16-inch model, I think you'll be satisfied with the performance.
