Which Window Direction is Best for Winter Light?

I'm moving into a new place, and my brother, who's heading off to college soon, gave me the option to choose my room. Since winter is coming, I'm trying to decide between a North-facing or South-facing window. Which would be better for getting more light during the winter months?

If you're planning to have plants by the window, definitely go for the South-facing one if you're in the Northern Hemisphere. It gets way more sunlight, which is perfect for winter. If you're in the Southern Hemisphere, then the North-facing window is the better choice. But if you're right on the equator, either window works just fine!

Exactly! I’ll need the south window then, thanks!
