Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my 80s home by replacing the carpeted basement and bedrooms with waterproof vinyl plank flooring. I've heard this is a cost-effective choice, but I want to know where I can find about 1200 square feet of it for the best price, whether that's online or in-store, especially since I'm based in Canada. Also, is vinyl plank the best option, or are there better alternatives that won't break the bank? I'm hoping to kick off this project in the next month, so any advice would be super helpful!

Hey! I can totally relate to your carpet woes—ripping it out was one of the best things I did for my place! As for sourcing vinyl plank flooring, I'd recommend checking out local flooring warehouses. You can see the products in person, and it's usually better to avoid the shipping costs. Just keep in mind to either remove your baseboards or get some shoe molding to cover the necessary expansion gap. And definitely buy a bit extra in case you need to make repairs down the line! Good luck with your project!

Thanks for the tips! I appreciate the advice about buying extra flooring. Good to know about checking out local warehouses!”}]}},{
