Hey everyone! I run an Airbnb and recently discovered a cloudy mark on the top surface of my tempered glass table after some guests checked out. The mark feels a bit rough, and despite trying a few cleaning methods including glass cleaner, vinegar, all-purpose cleaner, and even a baking soda paste, nothing has worked. Interestingly, the mark seems to vanish when I wipe it with any liquid, but once it dries, the haze returns. I'm curious if anyone knows what might have caused this—could it be heat damage or etching? More importantly, is there a way to completely get rid of it, or is it likely to be a permanent issue? Thanks for your help!

It sounds like heat damage may be to blame. If regular cleaning hasn’t made a difference, it’s probably etched into the glass. You could try polishing with cerium oxide, but there's a good chance it might be permanent. Good luck!
You might want to invest in one of those car buffers to tackle this. I've faced similar issues with my sink where water spots would disappear when wet but come back once dry. Just curious—did you eventually manage to get rid of it completely?
Definitely give Bar Keeper’s Friend a shot! I had a stubborn mark on one of my exterior windows, and after trying everything, that cleaner did the trick. It might help determine if the issue is just a stain or actual damage to the glass.

I’m still trying different methods! Thanks for the suggestion!
