Hey folks! I'm in the process of installing some security cameras, and I've run a cable down from my attic that I need to extend to a specific spot on the back of my house. I believe the cable is currently stuck behind the corner vinyl trim, which I've marked in red on this image: https://imgur.com/a/z6UiiNw. I want to get that cable out and move it to the location marked in blue. I've tried using a zip tool to unclip the trim, but I couldn't get it detached. Any ideas on how I can access the space behind those vinyl trims to pull the cable through? Thanks for your help!

You might want to try drilling a small hole where you want the cable to exit and then fish a line over to the area where the cable currently is. Just make sure to tape or tie the two together so you can pull it through smoothly. Don't forget to seal the hole properly to prevent any water from getting behind the trim! Good luck!
Removing the corner trim can be tricky because it’s secured with nails under the siding. Unfortunately, if you want to get it off, you'll likely have to remove some siding panels first since that corner piece isn’t coming off easily without it. It's definitely a bigger job if you want to do it right.
The easiest route is actually to remove some siding nearby. Trying to fish the cable past the vinyl trim could be a real hassle. If you take off the trim next to the window, it’ll give you better access to the nailing flange of the corner piece. This way, you might be able to drill right through the corner without having to deal with taking all the siding off. Definitely worth a shot!
