I'm in the middle of a home renovation and I've been told that it's better to do the flooring first and then paint. Is that true? Just trying to figure out the best order to tackle these projects. Thanks!

From my experience, I painted first before changing the carpet and it turned out great. We were pretty messy with the paint, but since the carpet was coming out anyway, it didn't matter. If you're hiring professionals, they typically handle the mess well, so the order isn't as critical.
Going off my own experience, I painted the whole house last year and then changed out the flooring this year. I ended up damaging a lot of walls when removing the baseboards, and the new paint didn’t match. If you're planning to remove baseboards or do something extensive, I'd suggest doing the flooring first to avoid that extra hassle!
It really depends on what you're doing with the floors. If you're replacing the flooring entirely, it's usually best to paint first to avoid any messes. However, if you are just cleaning or refreshing the existing floors, the order doesn't matter much. Just make sure to protect your floors if you go with painting first!
