I recently purchased a high-speed ratchet with a two HO battery combo about a month ago. I haven't used the ratchet itself yet but have utilized the batteries with my stubby tool. I've come across a new battery hack for the two HO batteries and am wondering if I should invest in those and return the ratchet I bought since there's a new model set to release soon. If you were in my situation, would you return the ratchet or hold onto it?

I just went through this! I got the ratchet and batteries with the hack, then returned them right away using the old receipt. Now I have 90 days to think about whether I want to keep just the ratchet. But hey, Milwaukee keeps it interesting, doesn’t it?
Here's my take: There's always a newer, shinier tool coming out, and keeping up can be a bit overwhelming—both mentally and financially. The current high-speed ratchet is already a solid tool, and at the current price, it’s hard to beat. Plus, if you get the new one, it'll be old news in a year or two anyway. It's a never-ending cycle!
As a driveway mechanic, I've got to say I really enjoy my high-speed ratchet! I used it for an alternator job recently, and it was a lifesaver. I haven’t heard much about the new one, but if it has improvements like more torque, it could be worth checking out.
Sounds like the new one is going to have some impressive upgrades. Just keep in mind, it might take a while before it's available and how much it will actually cost.

I feel you! It's tough to decide when the current high-speed ratchet has good reviews, but the new one could be a total game-changer—or it might be a flop. They definitely won't have it on sale right away.
