I have an air conditioner that needs to be emptied from the bottom after a few hours of use, and it's a hassle to take it outside each time. I'm looking for budget-friendly solutions to lift it by a couple of inches so I can drain it in its spot. What are some strong and cheap items I could use to elevate my AC, which weighs about 100lbs when full?

Using an upside-down bucket worked great for me! I let mine drain into a pump that sends the condensate out the window. Super easy solution!
A milk crate or some bricks from Home Depot could be perfect for this! One time I built a short wood box, but I started with landscape stones first, and milk crates were my backup plan.
You could also look into pumps that attach to a tube for draining. They can help you empty it without needing to lift the unit too high!
Just two pieces of wood cut to the right length could do the trick. Easy to set up and will get the job done!
You might want to try putting it on a sturdy dresser or coffee table. They're usually strong enough for that kind of weight without any issues!
Have you thought about slightly pitching your AC unit backwards? Most room ACs can do that, and it helps them drain better without needing elevation.

Great ideas! I hadn't thought about using milk crates. They’re definitely strong enough for this.
