Which is Better for Buying Succulents: Mountain Crest Gardens or Ramsey’s?

I'm on the hunt for my first online succulent, specifically a Sedum dasphyllum, and I'm weighing my options between Mountain Crest Gardens (MCG) and Ramsey's Succulent. I've heard some complaints about Ramsey's not providing labels, but that doesn't bother me since I'm only getting one plant. What does raise a little red flag is the $2 price tag—it seems a bit low, right? So, I'm leaning more towards MCG. Has anyone here tried both places and can share their experiences or preferences?

I’ve ordered from Mountain Crest Gardens multiple times and I've always been really happy with my sedum orders, including the dasphyllum. Their plants have arrived in great shape, which has made me a loyal customer! Go for MCG if you're looking for quality.

Honestly, I think the $2 price tag at Ramsey's is pretty reasonable, especially for a small 2" dasphyllum. But I do agree with some people who think MCG tends to be a bit overpriced. That said, MCG has a good reputation for replacing plants that arrive damaged, so if you're worried about quality, they might be the safer bet. Just make sure the soil has good air circulation, and it should do just fine. I like to use a fan to help it dry if the soil stays moist too long!

That's good advice! Keeping the soil breathable is key. I've had issues before with too much moisture.

I haven’t tried Mountain Crest Gardens, but I’ve ordered from Ramsey's twice and my plants were in excellent condition both times. Plus, they included some freebie plants with my orders! If you're looking for a good deal with quality, they might still be worth considering.
