What’s the Best Way to Fix Loose Mortise and Tenon Joints?

I'm working on a project that requires a lot of mortise and tenon (M&T) joints, but I got a bit too enthusiastic while cleaning up the tenons on one piece using my router plane. Now, one of my joints is a little loose. I'm considering gluing a piece of construction paper onto one cheek to snug it up. Any other suggestions or techniques I could try?

Using construction paper is a good idea! If you need a bit more support, consider using veneer instead. If the gap is larger, a gap-filling glue like epoxy could also do the trick. Personally, I like to drawbore my joints; it provides a solid connection and I don't stress too much about them being slightly loose.

Interesting! I might try using a contrasting wood for the drawbore, that could look nice.
