I'm considering adding a pocket door to my tiny half bath because it opens into a small laundry room. I'm curious about how reliable these doors are and what others think of their experience with them. Any insights? Thanks!

I recently had to replace the rollers on one of my 5 pocket doors after nearly 20 years. I upgraded to ball-bearing rollers, and wow, it feels like a brand new door! I’m thinking about upgrading all of them now because they slide so much better. Definitely worth considering if you want smooth operation!
We put in a pocket door during a bathroom remodel back in 1998. Even after our second remodel in 2019, the door was still going strong! I had to replace the hardware once, but the door and track have been flawless. I’d say they’re a solid choice for small spaces.
My pocket doors are around 60 years old, and they still work like a charm! They slide smoothly without any issues, so I can definitely vouch for their longevity. Less clutter with normal doors in tight spots is a big plus!
I love my pocket doors! I think they really make the most of small spaces that couldn’t fit regular doors. Sure, the latches can fail over time, but they’re really easy to swap out. Overall, I’d choose them any day for a compact area.
I've had my pocket doors for about 20 years now and they've held up really well! The only issue I've encountered is with the locking latches, but they’re easy and cheap to replace—only about $20-$30. A little cleaning now and then keeps everything in good shape. Overall, I haven’t had any major complaints!

That's awesome to hear! Good to know they can last that long!
