What’s the Best Quick Stain for a Kid’s Mini Wall Project?

I'm building a mini wall for my child using some standard 1x2 lumber. The plan is to leave the wood exposed, kind of like a framed wall section. I've got all the materials and hardware, but I just found out they want it stained to match their dresser. I vaguely remember mentioning that, but hey, my memory's a bit hazy! Anyway, I'm looking for the quickest, cheapest, and easiest way to stain this wood. Any suggestions?

That sounds like a solid option! You can always find some good tutorials online to help you get the look you want. Good luck with your project!

You might want to try "Varathane"—it's a fast-drying stain and polyurethane in one! It can save you some time since it serves a dual purpose. Just apply it carefully and it should give you a nice finish without too much hassle.

Is that water-based or oil-based? Just curious about the differences!
