How Can I Connect Consumption CTs to My Service Panel?

I recently finished a DIY solar installation at home, and I'm almost there, but I'm stuck on connecting the consumption current transformers (CTs) to my service input. The issue is that there doesn't seem to be enough room to clamp the CTs around the bus bars. I'd really appreciate any advice on how to make this connection without having to replace the entire box.

Instead of clamping the CTs around the bus bars, try clamping them around the main phase feed cable. That's what I did with my single-phase system, and it works great. If you have a three-phase setup, you’ll need a separate CT for each phase.

Looks like you’re out of luck trying to clamp those CTs around the bus bars since it’s packed. If those wires on the right side are feeding into the meter, that might be promising. If not, your best bet could be to install a new subpanel right next to your existing one and run the wires through there. You might even think about a hybrid system that could handle the overall load.
