I'm looking for some basic advice on how to kick things off without breaking the bank. Do I just toss seeds in the ground? Should I create rows or anything like that? I feel lost since most info I find online just seems like ads for fancy raised beds. Oh, and just to clarify, I'm in zone 9b and interested in growing food. Any tips?
