What’s the Best Flooring Choice: Engineered Hardwood, LVP, or Laminate?

I'm currently living in a condo with laminate floors, but I'm considering a change. My options are high-end laminate, high-end LVP, or a low-end engineered hardwood. I want to find the best flooring for my situation. While engineered hardwood looks great and is real wood, it's also nearly double the price. I'm unsure about how to weigh LVP against laminate since opinions are so divided, but I've heard many people rave about LVP. Right now, I don't have kids or pets, but that might change soon. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've got both engineered hardwood and LVP in my place, and honestly, I'm leaning towards replacing the hardwood with more LVP. The hardwood gets dents and scratches way too easily for my liking. LVP seems to hold up much better overall.

LVP is the only truly waterproof flooring option out there. I installed it in my flat, and without it, I would have had to replace my floors at least twice by now due to spills. For me, being waterproof is a major selling point for LVP.

I'd go for engineered hardwood if budget isn't a huge issue. LVP has a texture that can feel a bit off, and it collects dirt easily. Laminate is only good if you invest in the pricier stuff, but at that point, you might as well just choose hardwood!
