Hey everyone! I've been dealing with this annoying clog that keeps coming back in the drain shared by my toilet and tub. I managed to solve it temporarily by plunging, but I really want to clean it out properly. Any advice on how to tackle this issue?

Hair is often the culprit! I recommend getting a proper drain snake from your local hardware store and seeing what you can pull out. Once you've cleared the blockage, try to be more mindful of what goes down the drain to prevent future clogs.

Exactly! It’s essential to only flush pee, poo, and toilet paper down there. If you're still having issues after you clear it, you might need a deeper inspection to find any underlying problems.

Sounds like you might want to call in a plumber to take care of it. They can use a snake to clear out the drain. In some cases, the waste line might be too narrow, which can cause ongoing problems. I've seen it happen with my parents' plumbing.

Is your home an older one? My place has a similar issue with a lot of drains feeding into one catch basin that's clogged with grease and hair from previous owners. I had to scope it to see the mess. Sometimes the only solution is to bust open the slab and rework the plumbing. A basic snake can’t always do the job, so keep that in mind!
