Is My Emotional Attachment to My Plants Too Much?

I've recently gotten into caring for houseplants as a new hobby—I've got around 10 to 20 of them, including all sorts like succulents, cacti, and tropical plants. In the last couple of months, I've researched how to care for each one and invested in all the right equipment and soils to help them thrive. However, I've noticed that none of my plants look as perfect as they did when I first bought them, which makes me feel sad. Even though they're healthy and doing fine, I can't help but miss that initial look. I realize I can't replicate the conditions of their native environments. Does anyone else feel emotionally attached to their plants? Am I being too obsessive about this?

It's completely normal for your plants to change over time—after all, they're living organisms! There’s really no such thing as a 'perfect' plant. If yours are thriving and healthy, then you’re doing a great job. Just embrace their growth changes!
