Do Sunflowers Self-Seeds for Next Year?

I've planted some sunflowers this year, and I'm really curious about how much effort I'll need to get them to come back next year. Are they typically self-seeding, or do I need to do something special?

Absolutely! If you've got a few sunflowers this year, you might end up with hundreds next year. They tend to spread pretty well if left to their own devices!

That's awesome! I just checked mine after a storm and some taller ones fell over. I'm hoping they were mature enough to sprout again!
