I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed a lack of frog spawn in their garden ponds this spring. Typically, my pond in Norfolk sees over 20 frogs arriving by now, but this year I've only spotted 4 frogs and there's no spawn yet. Is it possible the frogs are just late this season, or could it mean there's been a drop in the population? I'm really missing those little guys!

I’ve noticed a bunch of barn owls hunting near my pond this year. They’ll definitely keep the frog numbers in check, but it's a bit concerning how many predators are around. Fingers crossed your frogs make a comeback!
I’ve got my pond completely packed with frogspawn! Everything seems to be thriving here. It’s strange though, I wonder if the cold snap affected the timings in different regions?
My new pond just finished last weekend, and while I can see frogs, I’m worried they might not settle in after all the changes. No spawn yet, though!
I’m from the Midlands and haven’t seen any frog spawn yet either. Maybe it's just that some areas are lagging behind this year due to the weather or environmental changes.
Spotted frogspawn in my London suburb garden over a week ago! I did have a heron swoop down and try to snag a frog though, so I’ve had to cover my pond with some fleece to protect them. Hopefully, yours come back soon!

Interesting! Where are you located? I’m starting to think it's just not warm enough in Norfolk yet.
