I recently visited a nursery and was captivated by the smell of citrus blossoms. Living in Canada, where it's quite cold for half the year and my house stays around 22°C for the other half, I'm curious about the possibility of growing a citrus tree indoors. I know it probably won't bear fruit, but can I still expect to enjoy those lovely aromatic blossoms?

Citrus trees really thrive on sunlight, so you'll need to place it in front of a south-facing window and consider adding some high-powered grow lights, like Sansi bulbs. These trees can be challenging to keep alive indoors, especially through the winter, so a humidifier might help to keep it feeling at home. Just be prepared to give it a lot of care!
Absolutely! A little extra light and humidity can go a long way for citrus.
Yes, there are dwarf citrus varieties that adapt better to container life. Just keep in mind that they need a lot of bright light to thrive. Do some research to find the right cultivar for your space so it can not only survive but maybe even produce some lovely blossoms.
Definitely! The right variety can make all the difference, plus a little extra love!
I've had pretty good luck with citrus. I live in BC and my pots go outside in the warmer months. I set up a grow tent with a good light and a humidifier when they're inside. The smell of the blossoms is totally worth it, even if fruit isn’t guaranteed. There’s definitely a learning curve, but it's quite the experience!
That sounds like a great setup! I might have to try a grow tent myself!
I agree! As long as you’re ready for the challenge, it can be so rewarding.

I've heard they can also benefit from being outside in the warmer months! That might help them recharge.
